SEO migration services for ecommerce replatforms
A replatform can undo years of ranking gains overnight. Changed URLs, broken redirects, lost structured data and wasted crawl budget each cost traffic, and they usually arrive together. I make sure your new platform launches with its SEO intact, and ideally stronger than before.
What can go wrong in a website migration
URL structures change and old links point nowhere. Redirects go missing, get chained or point at the wrong pages, and canonical tags and structured data don't carry over.
Faceted and filter URLs multiply and eat crawl budget, and revenue pages lose their internal links in the new navigation. These problems usually arrive together.
Before launch
I crawl and benchmark the current site: rankings, traffic and revenue by page type. Then I build the URL and redirect map with your development team.
I set rules for canonicals, indexation, faceted navigation and structured data on the new platform, and test everything on staging before it goes live.
Launch week
I check redirects, robots.txt, sitemaps and canonicals on the live site, and monitor Google Search Console daily for crawl errors and index changes.
When something breaks, I work with your team to fix it as it appears, before it costs you rankings.
After launch
I track non-brand rankings and organic revenue against the benchmark, and clean up 404s, redirect chains and pages wrongly excluded from the index.
Then we use the new platform to improve your site architecture, not just preserve it.
Already launched and losing traffic?
I also do post-migration recovery audits. I'll find what broke, rank the fixes by revenue impact and work with your team to recover.
Platforms: Shopify and Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce (Magento), BigCommerce, WooCommerce and custom builds.
